UWhat are the terms of a Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar franchise?
The term of a Boston’s franchise agreement is 10 years with a 10-year renewable option. The franchise fee is $50,000. The royalty fee is 5% of gross sales and the national advertising fee is 3% of gross.
UWhat other expenses will be involved in opening a Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar?
The total investment will range from $951,000 - $2,742,000 (depending on the targeted location). This includes the cost of the building, furniture, fixtures, equipment, leasehold improvements, initial inventory, working capital and other expenses.
UWhat are the minimum net worth and liquidity requirements to become a franchisee?
In order to qualify as a Boston’s franchisee, the minimum net worth requirement is $1.5 million with a minimum liquidity of $500,000.
UHow much training is required?
Before your restaurant opens, you and your management team will participate in a six week training program at our Dallas training center. We also spend 3-4 weeks at your restaurant in preparation for its grand opening (2 weeks before opening and 2 weeks post opening). In addition, we are available to provide on-going field support based on your team’s specific needs.
UDoes Boston’s have a financing program available?
We do not currently offer a direct financing program, however we work with franchisees to acquire financing options such as conventional or SBA loans through our lender networks.
UCan I convert an existing site? Does the investment level differ?
Yes – when the opportunity for converting an existing property is possible, the savings in investment and time can be significant. Boston’s is prepared to work with you to develop these spaces when the opportunities are in targeted markets and meet our site and demographic requirements.
UDoes Boston’s consider non-traditional sites? Does the investment level differ?
Yes – Boston’s restaurants are a great fit for locations in regional malls, mixed use developments, airports, military installations, theme parks and sports venues. Please note that the investment level will vary depending on the size and scope of work.
